The Ohio Travel Soccer League is pleased to announce the addition of Marcie Klebanow as its new Director of Coaching. In her role, she will be responsible for coaches training and education, as well as assisting clubs with player development. She will also serve as the league's program director in charge of new events including OHTSL camps, U8 Kick Around Days and other potential programs.
Prior to joining the league, Marcie spent the last seven years as a Division 1 Women's Assistant Soccer Coach as Wagner College, USC Upstate and most recently Ball State University.
In her four seasons at Ball State, Klebanow helped the Cardinals to post an overall record of 44-24-14 highlighted by a 14-3-3 record and MAC championship season in 2015. During her time as a Cardinal she also trained the goalkeepers and in 2013 her keepers were top 20 in the country in save percentage and 47th in the country in goals against average.
A native of Solon, Ohio and past league participant, some of her other accomplishments include being selected for the 30 under 30 program by the NSCAA in 2014. She has also served on ODP Regional Staffs in both Region 1 and 2, and in 2010 was the girl's administrator at the Inter-Regional Camp in Pamona Calif. She was team trainer and American liaison for the U14 Russian National team.
Klebanow has served as the Head Coach of the gold medal winning United States Junior Girls Jewish National Team for the 19th and 20th Maccabiah games in Israel. Her team went unbeaten, between the two tournaments, at 12-0 and outscored their opposition 57-0. Her team beat the Israeli U17 & U19 National teams in both finals to earn the champions title.
In 2007-2008, Klebanow served as an Assistant Coach at Bloomington South High School, helping the Panthers to back to back conferenece championships.
Klebanow earned her bachelor's degree in secondary education from Indiana University in 2009 and her master's degree in education with a focus in literacy from Wagner College in 2011.
She currently holds a USSF Instructor License, USSF National B License and an NSCAA Premier Diploma, the pinnacle of residential academy offerings. She also holds an NSCAA National Goalkeepers diploma and US Youth National license.
